Welcome to YP Green.
I have always believed that a balanced three legged stool is a very stable support structure which can be used in many different ways. A three legged stool will support a substantial amount of weight assuming each of its legs are of equal size and strength. To achieve this balance, the three legs (or parts) must work together equally. No one part can assume a larger or smaller role in this effort, or the stool will topple.
This blog was formed in 2007 to provide independent, third party dialog on issues related to how seriously the global Yellow Pages industry takes its environmental obligations. While the industry currently has multiple trade associations, their purpose is to support their member’s agendas on a wide range of initiatives. This blog is intended to be singularly focused on topics that cover a pro-active approach to how industry can be a responsible force in both the local and global environment.
YP Green should allow a balanced discussion on the Environment which we are all concerned about, the Commerce that the industry facilitates, and the People both users and employees that the industry touches….
My Mission
- To work with the Yellow Pages industry on transforming its business into an environmentally friendly, socially responsible industry
- while the industry continues to facilitate the linking of buyers and seller
- and advocating to responsible government agencies and concerned groups on the progress the industry is making to be green
